Tustin, CA — California University of Technology (CAL U TECH) announced that it will host a free public lecture for its Certificate in Enrolled Agent Exam Preparation program on Saturday, December 13 at 4:00 PM. This introductory session is designed to help prospective students learn how to systematically prepare for all parts of the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE). Participants may join either on campus or via Zoom, and the event is open to anyone interested in obtaining the EA credential.
The program is specifically designed for individuals seeking to become Enrolled Agents (EA)—federally authorized tax practitioners empowered by the IRS to represent taxpayers. The curriculum aims to train knowledgeable and ethical tax professionals equipped with both technical expertise and practical skills.
- Program Overview and Objectives
The Certificate in Enrolled Agent Exam Preparation provides comprehensive training in federal taxation, analytical skills, and practical representation procedures. Its primary goal is to prepare students to successfully pass all sections of the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE) and to qualify as IRS-authorized Enrolled Agents.
- Program Structure
Course 1: Federal Taxation of Individuals (SEE Part 1)
Provides an in-depth study of individual income tax law, enabling students to competently prepare individual tax returns, apply current tax regulations, and interpret IRS guidelines.
Course 2: Federal Taxation of Businesses (SEE Part 2 – Business)
Covers federal tax principles applicable to businesses and self-employed individuals, focusing on business income, deductions, entity types, and relevant tax rules.
Course 3: Representation, Practice, and Procedures (SEE Part 3)
Examines taxpayer representation before the IRS, tax ethics, and administrative procedures, with emphasis on compliance with Treasury Department Circular 230.
Course 4: EA Exam Review and Professional Practice (Capstone)
A comprehensive review course covering all SEE content areas. Students strengthen exam readiness through simulation-based exercises and practical tax scenarios.
